Keep praying no matter what

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up Luke 18:1

Have you been praying so long over a situation that you’re ready to stop and give up? I can recall a time when I was deeply worried about a person lying about me to others. I had dealt with it for so long; I began to believe it was simply going to be this way. I had prayed and finally decided I had enough, so I simply stopped praying about it. One morning, God began to deal with me. He made it quite clear to continue to pray about the person. Shortly afterwards, God revealed this person’s lies and evil intentions to everyone. I am here to tell you things will and can turn around. The scripture says, "For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.” Philippians 1:19

It does not matter how it looks today or even how it feels. God promises in His Word through prayer, things will certainly turn around. If there is ever a time to really pray and believe, it is when you have been counted out, an opportunity seems too far to obtain, or something seems hopeless. I challenge you to continue to pray about the situation and no matter how hard it looks, God will turn it around in His time.

Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for. 1 John 5:14-15

This is my Prayer: God help me to have faith enough to be constant in prayer.  Lord lead me in my thoughts and prayers, especially for these situations in my life that I feel like giving up on.  Teach me to have confidence in Your timing and deliverance.   In Jesus name, Amen.

A Change of strategy and A Fresh Start

Have you been battling the same issues for some time? Do you continue to use the same strategy to overcome it?  If you have been doing the same old thing you are destined to get the same results.  Acts 3:2-7 describes a man who had been lame since birth. Throughout his life, he would lay in front of the temple asking for money. Peter and John, upon seeing this man, instructed him to arise and walk in Jesus’ name and immediately he did! We all find ourselves in one of three stages in our lives waiting, receiving, or moving.  No matter what stage you are in, it is important to continue to seek God to move forward.  What could God be telling you to do differently today to proceed forward?

Each day gives us a new opportunity to seek God’s guidance, to reflect and regroup, to breathe deeply of God, and receive direction from God for the day ahead. The newness of each day reflects God’s ongoing work of grace, grace that frees us from the past and offers a way forward. Grace offers God’s presence and power at the point of your need.

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23

Where do you need a fresh start? Have you been waiting for God to show up, and he has, and now it’s time for you to declare you are arising and walking today?

This is my Prayer: God help me to always seek You every day and in everything. Thank You for fresh starts. Jesus please come to me and show me how to move forward. Help me to move forward from this day on as one who extends grace to others so that they, too, can have fresh starts.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Stand up to adversities and Rejoice!

How will you react when difficulties come your way? Will you begin fearing what man can do or will you look at your adversary straight in the eye and stand on God's Word? “But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?” Psalm 56:3-4. This reminds us that we have to trust God no matter how it looks and fear nothing or no one.

“Rejoice in the Lord always, and again, I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 The Word tells us to rejoice no matter what. Of course you are not rejoicing because you are facing a trial, but simply rejoicing because God is in control and He promises He will do what He says He will do. "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But, let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” James 1:2-4. So count it all joy because God is up to something!

You can rejoice knowing not only will God work on your behalf, but He also promises to do it. He said on this day it is done! There is no reason to be concerned or worried, because God is in control. So on this day, stand up to your issues, and greet it with a smile because we know God promises to fight our battles on our behalf.

This is my Prayer: Jesus teach me to rejoice always and not fear my circumstances or situation. Help me to remember a time when You fought a battle on my behalf. It seemed impossible, but God knew just what and how I needed Your victory, and you provided it. Help me to praise you, in Jesus name, Amen.

This is only a test!

"This is only a test!" So often, we hear these words during the late night hours via our televisions. Please understand these great words can also be applied to our lives as well.
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. Philippians 4:11-13.

These scriptures remind us to remain content. Each and every day as we go through life, God is testing us. As a result, we are often confronted by situations that are trying and hard, God wants see how we will respond. Remember, this is only a test! He has already promised to see us through. Will you stay consistent and content not matter what come your way?
You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. Proverbs 3:25-26

This is my Prayer: Jesus help me stay consistent and content with seeking Your direction and will, and no matter what happens whether it be a trial or blessing. So me how to rejoice in knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for me. Remind me not to be afraid but to be confident in You and seek you for strength. In Jesus name, Amen.

Wait on the Lord

If you are at a place in your life where you are tired of being sick and tired, today you have to commit to wait on the Lord. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14.
Many times in our lives, our battles wear us down, because we are moving at our own speed. Our “to do lists" tend to grow longer and our time with our Master only grows shorter. God promises in His Word, if we yield, wait on Him to move, He promises He is good to those who wait on Him!  The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26.

If you are facing a challenge you have been battling for some time, make a decision today you will wait for Him to carry you through. Like my mother says, "Lets just wait and see what God's going to do! If you wait on Him, He will not only be good to you but you will bless you beyond what you can ever imagine!

This is my Prayer: Lord help me to have the patience to wait on the You, Your timing, Your deliverance, and Your blessing. Teach me how to have faith enough to make the changes You are telling me to make and help me rely solely upon Your strength to make them.  In Jesus name, Amen.
