God Will Guard You

Have you ever wanted something so bad, that you thought about it "day in" and "day out"? You couldn’t picture your life without it, so you prayed about it. Then you waited and waited and waited and waited and the longer you waited the more anxious you got. You began to ask questions like: What should I do? How long should I wait? When I will I get an answer? What happens if I don’t get an answer?

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

These scriptures tell us to be anxious for nothing, but pray about everything! It tells us in doing so; God will give us a peace others cannot understand. He will guard our hearts against all harm and danger. I love the word guard. It is defined as a precautionary measure warding off impending danger, damage, or injury. Isn't that good to know? God is listening to your prayer requests, providing you peace and protecting you. Has there ever been a time when you were waiting anxiously for an answer to a prayer and you decided to stand on faith and let go and let God have His way. Did He come through and meet your needs? Maybe in a way you didn’t expect? You can trust Him to always meet your needs.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

This is my Prayer: God help me to let go of my anxieties and share with you my concerns. Show me how to praise you, while I wait for your answer. Guard my heart Lord, that I will have faith in your protection and provision. Help me to trust that You will always meet my needs. In Jesus name, Amen.
